Presentation software was originally developed to computerise the creation and delivery of slide presentations to audiences and conferences; both with and without printed handouts.

Microsoft® 'PowerPoint®' is the university standard package and offers a complete drawing and text package, with automatic or manual slide features, to help you produce your presentation.  You can embed images, tables and graphics from other packages or embed presentations from PowerPoint into other applications.  More advanced features also include the ability to add synchronised audio and self-running animations or video clips to your presentation.
